Clinic settings
Settings in Miraa come in two layers: personal settings that affect just you, and clinic-wide settings that an admin manages for the whole clinic.
Clinic-wide settings are admin only and available on multi-seat plans. Solo users manage personal settings only.
Personal settings
Available to every user:
- Profile — your name, qualifications, and details that can appear on documents.
- Preferences — appearance and personal workflow options.
- Security — password and multi-factor authentication. See Data security.
Clinic-wide settings
Managed by admins on multi-seat plans, these can include:
- Clinic overview — clinic name and details used on documents and letterhead.
- Roles & access — how roles and permissions are configured. See Users & permissions.
- Communication — how patient communications and reminders are handled.
- Compliance & policies — clinic-level compliance and policy options.
The exact settings available depend on your plan, role, and version. Needs confirmation — confirm which settings your clinic has.
How settings affect drafting
Some settings shape how drafts come out — for example, letterhead details and note templates. Settings influence formatting and presentation; they never change your responsibility to verify and approve clinical content.
No setting removes the clinician-approval step. Preferences can change how a draft looks, but a clinician still reviews and approves before anything is final.
Autonomous features
Any feature that can act more automatically (for example, background automation) stays locked behind plan level, admin configuration, explicit permissions, and clinic readiness — and remains subject to review. It is off by default. Needs confirmation — confirm what, if anything, your clinic has enabled.
Common mistakes
- Changing clinic-wide settings without telling the team.
- Assuming a personal preference changes clinical responsibility.
- Enabling features without understanding the review and approval implications.
