Account setup
This page covers getting a Miraa account ready to use. The exact steps depend on how your clinic onboarded, so some details may vary.
Two common paths. Most people either (a) receive an invitation from their clinic admin, or (b) sign up and then create or join a clinic. If you are a clinic admin setting up for the first time, see Clinic setup.
Before you start
- A work email address you can access.
- Your clinic’s name, and — if you are a clinician — your professional registration details (for example, an AHPRA registration or provider number), if your clinic asks for them.
- The invitation email, if your admin has sent one.
If you were invited
Open the invitation
Find the invitation email from Miraa and open the join link.
Create your sign-in
Set a password (or use the sign-in method your clinic uses). Choose a strong, unique password.
Confirm your details
Check your name and role are correct. Tell your admin if anything is wrong — your role controls what you can see and do.
Set up multi-factor authentication (MFA)
If prompted, enrol a second factor. This protects patient data and may be required by your clinic. See First login.
If you are signing up directly
Sign up
Create an account with your work email and a strong password, and verify your email if asked.
Create or join a clinic
Create a new clinic (you become its admin) or join an existing one. Joining an existing clinic may require approval from that clinic’s admin.
Complete onboarding
Follow the in-app onboarding to finish your profile and clinic details.
Professional identity (clinicians)
If you are a clinician, Miraa may ask for professional registration details so your name and qualifications appear correctly on documents and letterhead.
Provide only the details requested, and keep them accurate. These details can appear on clinical documents, so errors carry through to patient-facing output.
Common mistakes
- Using a personal email when your clinic expects a work email — this can break clinic membership.
- Skipping MFA when your clinic requires it — you may be blocked from sensitive actions later.
- Signing up separately instead of accepting an invitation — this can create a second, disconnected account. If in doubt, ask your admin.
Troubleshooting
- Didn’t get the invitation? Check spam, then ask your admin to resend it.
- Can’t sign in after setup? See Login issues.
